Please consider the following recommendations for a safe, accountable, and timely shipment of your timepiece to Excel Time Service.

Packaging Instructions

Please package your fine watch safely in bubble wrap, for example, and place in an appropriate sized cardboard box. Do not send the original presentation box, as this may be damaged while in transit.

Please also make sure to include copies of your watch warranty and bill of sale (if available), as well as any comments or instructions you may have.

Excel Time Service "Special Services"

If you prefer, Excel Time Service will gladly send you a complimentary shipping kit.

In this kit you will find detailed shipping instructions, a pre-addressed USPS "Registered and Insured" mailing label, as well as packing material and a protective outer box in which to send your timepiece.

Methods of Shipping

From within the USA, two very reliable and secure services are appropriate for shipping your valued watch:

1. Via Registered Mail, Insured
   The most secure service available is via the United States Postal Service using "Registered Mail" and having the contents insured.
   
   Items sent via Registered Mail are under tight security from the point of mailing to the point of delivery. A signature trail accompanies your watch's travel from beginning to end. You can track the progress of your shipment easily via the Internet at www.usps.com.
   
   Please note that the only special packaging consideration for items sent via Registered Mail is that all exterior tape used to enclose your package be of a paper type with water activated sticky glue backing. The U.S. Postal Service for Registered Mail service does not accept plastic tape of any sort.
   
   Insuring your watch via the U.S. Postal Service is economical and well worth it. It the unlikely event your watch should be lost in transit, the U.S. Postal Service will fully reimburse you for up to a declared value of US$25,000.
   
   For example, to insure a watch valued at US$2,000 will cost you around US$17.15, plus postage. $8,000 worth of insurance costs about $25.25, plus postage. Prices vary. For more details, please consult your local Post Office or visit www.usps.com.
   
   
2. Via Priority Mail, Insured
   Alternatively, you can send your watch using the U.S. Postal Service's "Priority Mail" service with the added services of "Signature Confirmation" and "Insurance." Paper tape is not a requirement of the Priority Mail service.
   
   Priority Mail typically will reach its final destination within 3 to 4 working days. Again, you can track your package by going to the USPS website at www.usps.com and entering the tracking number.
